To preserve our Republic, know your responsibilities.

If you think about the different forms of government; really think about what it means to govern and WHO governs, it becomes quite clear that our representative form of governance is quite unique in the history of mankind. Not only that but it is predicated on the requirement that We the People put forth an effort to govern. Not just vote, but to actively participate in governance. It is easy to be governed by a monarch, dictator, oligarchy etc. because you have no say in the matter. Yes, you may be unhappy being ruled over by a tyrant, but as far as running the government, you have no say. You see, we each need to know how to govern and how our government functions. To that end there is a monument that was created in 1956 that is called the Bill of Responsibilities and enshrined on this monument are a set of Responsibilities that each and every one of us must undertake in order to preserve our liberty and freedom for not only ourselves, but for future generations. Freedomsfoundation.org at Valley Forge is the website where you can learn more about this monument, as well as how to preserve our form of government. See the list of responsibilities here.
